Star.Ships - Gordon White, a important book

This week I read: "Star.Ships, a prehistory of the spirits". The author bases himself on serious academic theories and proposes the following theory: the religious and mythological basis of humanity was born in Africa before the exit of humanity from this continent and then spread throughout the world, varying a little according to the ages and cultures but keeping basically the same myths. These would be born from the observation of the constellations and the great climatic changes of the end of the ice age. More interestingly, based on certain major Oxfordian doctoral theses on the history of occultism (Hutton and Skinner, for example) and on the work of Carl Sagan and Jacques Vallée, the author places in parallel the hundreds of testimonies of contacts between humanity and "something else". In a very academic way, he sweeps away the theory of "Ancient Aliens" postulating contacts between alien ships and the earth and instead endorses sporadic spiritual (non-physical) contacts between the human mind and "the gods know what" on the other side of the mirror. A serious book that will be a landmark...
